Ysios Seleccion reserve

Tempranillo from Rioja, Spain

Winemaker Notes

Attractive and lively ruby red color with violet rims. Aromas of ripe red fruit well balanced with the notes of wild berries and black fruit, along with mineral aromas and soft spice. On the palate, elegant with reminiscences of ripe cherry, black fruit, and soft toasted notes, with pleasant tannins, mineral touches and a long and enveloping finish.

Bruliam Wines Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir

From a site in the Petaluma Gap, this Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Roberts Road was destemmed and saw 30% new French oak (with a small amount in larger 500-liter barrels). Spiced black cherries, forest floor, California bay, and plenty of leafy herb notes emerge from the glass, and it's medium-bodied, with a wonderful, Gevrey-like character (although with more sweet fruit), ripe tannins, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.

Withers In Hand Mourvèdre

The Withers Merlot In Hand

This Mourvèdre dominated blend expresses itself immediately once in the glass, with core aromas and flavors of spice and earth. Like a warm summer afternoon, it coats the palate and expands and adds nuance with exposure to air. Medium bodied, it is a perfect match for a wide range of foods including pasta, meat, fowl, and darker bodied fish

Bodegas Vatan Nisia Las Suertes Old Vines Verdejo

The grapes are rigorously sorted and destemmed prior to being pressed in a pneumatic press. The must is clarified (cleaned) by cold settling in a stainless-steel tank between 24-48 hours with temperatures around 6-10 degrees Celsius. Once clean, the wine is moved to 500L & 600L puncheons and demi-muids and fermented with pied de cuve in a combination of new and second use barrels. Primary fermentation lasts approximately 6-10 days.

Vatan is a classic expression of Spain's oldest clone of Tempranillo. Toro was Spain's most famous red winemaking region during the Middle Ages. It was mentioned in literature by Alfonso IX (King of León, 12th c.), Juan Ruiz the Archpriest of Hita, Quevedo, Luis de Góngora, and Miguel de Cervantes. These wines also accompanied Spanish explorers to the new world. D.O. Toro was revitalized in 1997 by Bodega Numanthia-Termes, founded by Jorge Ordóñez and the Eguren family.

Still Pond Gold, a testament to the magic of a Southern winter, captures the essence of sunlight distilled into a luxurious, golden elixir.  Crafted from the late-harvest Fry muscadine, this extraordinary dessert wine is a symphony of sweetness and complexity, a true taste of liquid gold.  By patiently waiting for the first frost to kiss the vines, we allow the grapes to develop an unparalleled concentration of natural sugars, resulting in a wine of exceptional richness and depth.  With notes of honeyed apricot, candied orange peel, and a whisper of warm spice, each sip is a decadent indulgence, a celebration of the patience and passion that transform humble grapes into a truly extraordinary dessert wine
