Tasting Notes
Juicy strawberries and raspberries layered with floral notes dance out of the glass and pull you into this 2017 vintage. Milk chocolate and currants meld into a soft, structured finish. This wine has the rich characteristics of a classic Napa Valley Cabernet through and through.
2017 Growing Season
The year began with abundant rainfall, followed by a mild Spring resulting in extended flowering with little shatter. A Labor Day weekend heatwave kicked harvest into high gear, then cool weather allowed sugar levels to return to normal. Napa Valley's winemakers remain committed to upholding the region's reputation for making some of the world's finest wines with great complexity and finesse.
Altamura Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Our Sauvignon Blanc comes from our 4-acre 18-year-old dry-farmed vineyard which sits at an altitude of 850 feet. The wine is fermented and aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months resulting in a wine of great depth and complexity, displaying the flavor and textural profile more like a white Bordeaux than a California Sauvignon Blanc.
90 Points Wine Spectator
Rich, honeyed notes of pear and peach are lush and creamy, with plenty of spice. The supple texture comes with a crisp edge of pineapple juice and fresh acidity that reaches a crescendo on the finish.

Glaetzer The Wallace Shiraz/Grenache

Glaetzer Wallace takes on the traditional Barossa Valley blend of Shiraz and Grenache in a modern way. The Shiraz brings backbone, flesh and body to the wine with the Grenache adding a soft, vibrant juiciness.
Wallace is an ancestral name of Colin's wife, Judith, whose family hail from the old market town of Cupar in Fife, Scotland. Judith's Celtic ancestry is reflected in the three elements of the Wallace symbol - the Celtic cross, thistle and the Celtic knot pattern.
78% Shiraz and 22% Grenache from old vines (50 to 100 years old).
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
A pretty typical blend of 78% Shiraz (aged in older oak) and 22% Grenache (matured only in stainless steel), the Wallace Shiraz-Grenache comes across as a bit tarry on first opening, followed by plummy, blackberry fruit, with more savory tones of black olive and bright blueberries on the medium to full-bodied palate. Not overly rich or extracted, this is a fine, silky offering that can be consumed over the next half-dozen years or so…

Trivoli Piemonte DOC Cortese Frizzante
When it comes to Romina Tacchino's sparkling Cortese, don't let its light hue and subtle aromatics fool you - this bubbly from Piedmont's Alto Monferrato area possesses a surprising weight and real fortitude in the glass! High altitude vines, artisanal yields, and calcareous, white tufo soils help lend this lip-smacking bubbly its bold, balanced acidity, and 4-6 months on the lees add to both its personality and elegance. With only 3000 bottles made per year, we're lucky to get a US allocation!
Color Pale straw
Nose Subtle, with green apple skin, pear and lemon pith
Palate Surprising fortitude, coupled with an elegant weight and balanced acidity
Finish Crisp and clean, with some orchard tannins showing through
Vineyard Location Piemonte DOC, Piedmont
