Our Rosé Prosecco is a modern and refined interpretation that is fit for any occasion. The wine has good structure, a delicate nose, and floral aromas with hints of red fruit. On the palate, the Prosecco is fresh and balanced and the perlage is fine with consistent bubbles.

Winemaker Notes

Luna Nuda’s Rosé Prosecco is produced using The Charmat method in accordance with DOC guidelines. Our grapes are handpicked and undergo a classic white wine method with soft pressing and traditional red wine method for their primary fermentation. The secondary fermentation is carried out in a pressurized tank where additional sugar and yeast are added to create CO2. The wine is then filtered, balanced, and bottled.

2024 Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio

100% Pinot Grigio

Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio is estate-grown, handpicked, and hand-sorted in Italy’s Alto Adige Valley at Castelfeder Winery. Bright, crisp flavors of golden delicious apple and citrus flow through this wine with just a hint of alpine air and minerality – flavors that embody the terroir of Italy’s northernmost wine growing region. Crispiness combined with a good sapidity are the key words for this wine.

Winemaker Notes

The grapes are de-stemmed and pressed before undergoing primary fermentation for about 10 days in stainless steel tanks. Our Pinot Grigio spends 4 months in stainless steel tanks before being bottled, and we use bentonite for fining the wine to remove any unwanted colloids. The wine is filtered before bottling.

Production Notes

This vintage was hand harvested from late August through mid-September in Bassa Atesina Valley, Alto Adige. The vineyard sits at 600 feet elevation in an Alpine climate. The soil is limestone with high chalk content influenced by alluvial states. The vines are are between 5 and 20 years old and use both Guyot and Pergola vine training and pruning systems. The harvested grapes were notable for their sugar, acidity balance.

2023 Luna Nuda Red Blend

80% Nerello Mascalese, 20% Nero d'Avola

The 2023 Luna Nuda Red Blend is a classic southern Italy style Red Blend, comprised of primarily Nerello and a touch of Nero D’Avola varieties. A deep burgundy color in the glass, this wine expresses stunning floral aromas with a smooth and rounded mouthfeel filled with dark cherries and ripe blackberries with robust character. This vintage of Luna Nuda Red Blend boasts an elegant finish with balanced acidity, making it a versatile wine pairing to many meat dishes, such as slow cooked roast beef.

Winemaker Notes

The legendary long Sicilian harvest lasted over 100 days in 2023, but was also one of the least productive. Nevertheless, the quality of the wines was generally high. Red wine varietals, like Nerello Mascalese from Etna and Nero d’Avola from southern Sicily favored well, producing wines with a good acid-sugar balance and excellent maturation.

Production Notes

for Luna Nuda 2023 Red Blend is carefully selected by the Giovanett family. The grapes are sourced from Sicily, Italy then brought back to the winery for blending. This wine is aged for 6 months in French barrique, new oak barrels.

ABOUT THIS WINE
